We marked Halloween with a group reading of favorite poems in the spirit of All Souls Day and the Day of the Dead. Festival Poets honored poetic ancestors by giving voice to a poem that has stayed with them, written by a poet no longer with us. Then, they read a poem of their own, written in the spirit of, in response to, or somehow influenced by an important ancestor.
