JP Infante is a writer and a Borough of Manhattan Community College alum. His debut, On the Tip of Your Mother’s Tongue, is the winner of Thirty West’s 2020 Chapbook Contest. His short story “Without a Big One” won PEN America’s Robert J Dau Prize. He’s a Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance grantee, VONA alumnus, and holds an MFA from The New School. His writing can be found in Kweli, The Poetry Project, Acentos Review, Post(blank)magazine, Rigorous, Dominican Writers, Ritmo Que Late Anthology, Uptown Collective, Manhattan Times, Bronx Free Press, The BreakBeat Poets Vol. 4: LatiNext Anthology, Digging Through the Fat and elsewhere. His prose has been awarded The Bernard L. Einbond Memorial Prize, the Aaron Hochberg Family Award and won DTM magazine’s “Latino Identity in the US” essay contest.
